'Animal' starring Ranbir Kapoor surpassed Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' at global box office
Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has reportedly become the highest-grossing Indian film in Australia and Canada, leaving behind Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster films: Pathaan and Jawan.
As per Pinkvilla, the action-packed movie earned approximately 4,750,000 AUD in Australia within 16 days of its release.
However, Animal claimed a big win at Canada's box office by collecting approximately 6,135,000 CAD.
The story of the action-packed film revolves around a troubled relationship between a father and his son, exceptionally portrayed by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor respectively.
Ranbir, who played an alpha male character, garnered praise for his impeccable acting skills.
The Barfi star fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter and showered praise on his performance as Rannvijay Singh in the movie.
One fan wrote, "I'll say this OPENLY RKs Portrayal as Ranvijay Singh Balbir was so Convincing I hated him at some points. The Conviction in his Acting, SALUTE you SUPERSTAR."
Another fan shared, "Ranbir Kapoor gives new definition to alpha male characters. He outperformed himself in both intense and action scenes."
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie also features Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri with ensemble cast.
