Travis Kelce was supposed to throw Taylor Swift the "best party ever" on her 34th birthday but he couldn't make it on the day upsetting many of the couple's admirers.

As Taylor Swift wowed on a night out celebrating her 34th birthday on Wednesday, headlines from all around the world featured the crucial words "Without Travis Kelce."

Despite being in a relationship with the world's most famous woman, Kelce was unable to attend Swift's star-studded birthday celebration in New York City.

Swift celebrated the big night by going out with actress and close friend Blake Lively.

But Kelce was busy with his work as per the New York Post.

The NFL player was back in Kansas City ahead of the Chiefs' Sunday trip to New England to play the Patriots.

Kelce and his Rolls Royce were photographed by the Daily Mail en route to practice, almost running over a squirrel, as proof of his absence.

Even though Kelce was unable to attend on the actual birthday, it appears that there are significant preparations to celebrate at a later date.

Money "is no object," according to a source who spoke with US Weekly, and Kelce "wants to throw the best party possible" for Swift.

It's unknown whether Swift will be present at Kelce's game on Sunday in Foxborough, as well as the precise time and location of the celebrations.
