Travis Kelce expressed gratitude to Taylor Swift for making his jersey number 1, as its sales are still skyrocketing amid sweet gestures of affection between the NFL player and the global music star.
Jason Kelce revealed that the brothers had the "No 1 and No 2 top-selling jerseys in the UK" on Wednesday's episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. The Philadelphia Eagles centre also thanked a specific set of supporters.
Jason questioned, "Lotta Swifties over there in the UK" after he and Travis concurred that it "doesn't make any sense" that their jerseys are dominating across the water.
“It’s gotta be — it’s the only reasonable solution to all this,” Travis replied, admitting that he was also thinking that Taylor Swift, was to thank for the sales.
Jason continued, “I think I’m only No 2 because I think a lot of people in the UK maybe just don’t watch football and they’re like, ‘Oh, I heard this Kelce guy dates Taylor Swift,’ and they just buy my jersey on accident.”
“Shoutout to Taylor,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end piped in, before giving credit to Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, too, whom he said was really responsible for his brother's jersey sales.
“They’re all Kylie Kelce fans. So they’re supporting Kylie, of course,” Travis said.
There has been a significant surge in interest in Travis's career and his jersey sales nationwide since his and Swift's romance became public in September, shortly after she attended her first Chiefs game.
