Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan are reportedly teaming up for Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic comedy film.
As per Pinkvilla, the untitled movie is “being planned as a direct-to-digital project” which will be produced by Karan’s digital company, Dharmatics.
A source revealed to the publication, "The film will go on floors next year and will be directed by Shauna Gautam. The makers are in talks with a leading OTT player for streaming rights."
The report also revealed that the upcoming film is expected to be one of those romantic comedies that "Hindi Cinema is known for."
An insider further shared, "However, Karan and co. feel that the palette of narrative fits better for the OTT than the big screen. It’s planned and will be executed as an OTT original."
Notably, Khushi, who is the daughter of late actress Sridevi and renowned producer Boney Kapoor, recently made her acting debut with Netflix's teen comical film The Archies.
On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim is all set to make his big screen appearance alongside Kajol and Prithviraj in Karan's directorial Sarzameen.
Interestingly, from Alia Bhatt to Varun Dhawan, the renowned filmmaker is known for launching careers of Bollywood stars' kids.
On the professional front, Karan last directed blockbuster movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Alia and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
