Should fans gear up for Messi-Suarez 'reunion' at Inter Miami?
Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Gremio coach Renato Gaucho hint towards Suarez's move to Inter Miami
With Luis Suarez's contract with Brazillian club Gremio set to expire in December, the talk of the town is that the Uruguayan striker might likely join his friend and former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
The rumours come as Suarez will become a free agent as of January 1, 2024, enabling him to sign with any other club as per his wish.
Rumours regarding El Pistolero's possible move to Inter Miami to join Messi — who joined the US team in July earlier this year — were further fuelled by Gremio coach Renato Gaucho who said that Inter Miami intends to ink a deal with Suarez in the coming weeks as he will become a free agent.
Earlier, Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the David Beckham-owned club Inter Miami will reach out to Suarez for his possible signing for the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, marca.com reported.
Despite being 36-year-old the Uruguayan striker remains a formidable asset on the pitch as reflected by his stats with the Brazillian club as he scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists during his 51 appearances for Gremio.
Suarez may choose to retire even though it appears that Inter Miami will be his final destination.
The former Barcelona striker's decision to join the MLS is still up in the air, and supporters and analysts are waiting nervously for his word.
Meanwhile, according to Goal.com, Messi's potential retirement hint may cast doubt on Inter Miami's hopes of a spectacular reunion with Suarez.
