WhatsApp AI chatbot getting finishing touches
AI chatbot, currently available only for WhatsApp beta users, expected to roll out widely in coming days
WhatsApp has plenty of new features up its sleeve including the ability to check one's status from within conversations, while its integrated AI chatbot, which is presently undergoing beta testing, is a crucial feature aimed at improving the popular messaging app's user experience.
The social messaging application's parent company Meta, in September, said that it would be integrating an AI chatbot into its platforms.
For smooth and lifelike dialogues, the company primarily relied on their AI chatbot's Llama 2 broad language mode.
Additionally, it collaborated with Microsoft Bing to provide comprehensive web search answers.
In the latest WhatsApp beta v2.23.24.26 update, a new shortcut has been added in the Chats tab, just above the chat icon which leads to the Meta AI chatbot that has been integrated into the app.
With this chatbot, users can easily perform tasks within the app without having to navigate through multiple menus.
The AI chatbot feature is expected to roll out widely for everyone in the coming days. However, it is currently available only to a select set of WhatsApp beta users.
If you wish to try out the feature, you need to be enrolled in the beta program, which is currently full.
The convenience brought about by this feature will save time and effort for users, thanks to AI.
