Jennifer Hudson just seemingly confirmed those long-brewing rumours that something is going on between her and Common, that too on national TV.
Appearing on this week’s CBS Mornings Monday, Hudson, 42, discussed her daytime talk show, her early days on American Idol, being a first-time mom to a teenager, and, wait for it, how “happy” she is in a relationship with “someone who shall remain unnamed.”
“I am very happy… yes, ma’am,” she told Gayle King after the hostess asked the singer if she is content in her personal life, alluding to the romance speculations that started almost two years ago.
When the co-hosts probed her about whether it was a “situationship” or “entanglement,” the Dream Girls actress further clarified that “it’s definitely not an entanglement.”
The nameless admission from the multi-award winner finally came after months of shutting down dating rumours and insisting that she and the Come Close rapper are just friends.
However, romance speculations about the pair have been brewing since February 2002, when they were spotted visiting Philadelphia and their mutual hometown of Chicago together.
Three months later, it was announced that they would star together on the upcoming film Breathe.
The pair has been spotted on multiple outings since, most recently photographed walking hand-in-hand at a Jazz performance at Joe Pub’s theater in NYC just three days ago.
However, the enamoured pair had remained mum about the relationship until now.
