Michael Strahan will not be making a comeback appearance this week on "Good Morning America", after being gone from the programme since late last month.
"Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” an ABC spokesperson tells People in a statement. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
Since October 26, Strahan has not appeared on "Good Morning America". Linsey Davis of "World News Tonight" and co-anchor Juju Chang of Nightline have filled in for him.
After leaving "Live With Kelly and Michael", the former professional football player took a full-time position on the morning news programme in 2016.
For the past two weeks, Strahan has also been missing from his role as an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Fox Sports pundit Curt Menefee stated on Sunday that Strahan was not there because he was "dealing with a personal family matter."
When contacted by People, representatives for Strahan declined to comment.
Additionally, Strahan hasn't shared anything on social media since promoting his game show, The $100,000 Pyramid, on October 25.
Tanita, Michael Jr, Isabella, and Sophia are the four adult children that Strahan is the father to.
Tanita, 31, and Michael Jr, 28, the two elder children he has with Wanda Hutchins, his first wife with whom he was married from 1992 to 1996, are both. Alongside Isabella and Sophia, his 19-year-old twins, he is also married to Jean Muggli, his second wife, with whom he had six years of marriage.
