Britney Spears penned down her intriguing chapters of life in her most awaited memoir, The Woman In Me, that unveiled many striking revelations about her life out of the spotlight.
One chapter unfolded the role of the pop icon as a judge on the X-factor, where she shared the limelight with industry’s household names, including producer L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell.
In the pages of her biographical work, Spears, 41, confessed that her time on the talent seeking competition was far from enjoyable.
She began, “I think a lot of people are really professional on TV, like Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani. When the camera’s on them, they thrive. And that’s great.”
The Toxic crooner went on to reflect on herself, “I used to be able to do that when I was younger, but again, I feel like I age backwards when I’m afraid.”
“And so I got to where I was very, very nervous if I knew I had to be on air, and I didn’t like being nervous all day long,” Spears added.
She continued to express her preference, “If you’ve got me a cute cameo on a fun TV show where I’m in and out in a day that’s one thing, but to act skeptical for eight straight hours while judging on TV? Uh, no thank you.”
The Kill the Lights songstress concluded her experience at the X-factor, “I absolutely hated it.”
