Britney Spears to write ‘second book’ after defending hit ‘The Women In Me’
‘The Women In Me’, Britney Spears recent memoir has been ‘freeing for her and a great experience’
Britney Spears is “eager” to write a second book after receiving a great response on her new memoir The Women In Me.
“Britney is already excited at the possibility of a second book,” according to what a source told Us Weekly. “Writing this one has been so freeing for her and a great experience, she’s eager to do it again.”
The 41-year-old's memoir was published by Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books on Tuesday, October 24, to generally excellent reviews. According to the insider, "her pre-sales have been gigantic."
The source adds that since The Woman in Me has proven to be profitable and emotionally gratifying, "a second book feels like a win/win for her."
On Friday, October 20, Spears turned to Instagram to defend her memoir when information from the book began to leak early.
She said that she had "moved on" and that the most of the stories in the book were "from 20 years ago."
“It’s a beautiful clean slate from here!!!” Spears added.
“I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life!!! Either way, that is the last of it and s–t happens. This is actually a book I didn’t know needed to be written, although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future.”
