Taylor Swift has won over boyfriend Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed, as he sang praises for the Grammy-winning singer.
Ed, who was seen chatting with Anti-Hero singer at Arrowhead Stadium on October 12, described Swift to People Magazine as “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman.”
He revealed his first impression of the Lavender Haze singer was that she is “very genuine” and does not have a diva-like attitude.
“I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her,” Ed told the outlet.
“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can.”
He continued, “And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t get the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot.”
Ed, who is also father to older son Jason who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, praised the Karma singer for her intelligence. “She’s very smart. I mean, very. That comes through right away.”
Previously, the Kansas City tight end, 34, joked about his dad talking to his girlfriend during an episode of New Heights.
“You know Dad, like, I know Dad,” Travis mused to his brother. “This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor for being [subjected to that].”
“He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason added with a laugh.
Despite poking fun at his dad, Travis made sure to note that Ed is “the best f–king dad in the world.”
