Queen Elizabeth II's maid of honour Lady Glenconner shared her two cents on Meghan Markle.
Lady Glenconner who was one of the late Queen's six maids of honour at the late monarch's 1953 Coronation after a childhood friendship with Her Majesty, and acted as a lady-in-waiting for her sister, Princess Margaret, said that Meghan thought she would be "riding around in a golden coach" after her marriage to Harry and did not know what duties were expected of her.
Speaking on the Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast, she said: "I think the thing about Meghan was, she had no idea what was expected of her really. I think she just thought it was sort of like being another actress, you know.
"Riding around in a golden coach and everything like that," Lady Glenconner added. "And actually, being a member of the royal family - a lot of it is extremely boring."
She also expressed that she and the people of America "feel sorry" for Harry, having claimed to have shared the opinion with American politician John Kerry, 79, who she sat next to at the King's Coronation.
The socialite, born Anne Tennant, said she asked him: 'What do you think in America about Harry and Meghan?' and he replied: "We all feel very, very sorry for Harry. I think I can just leave it at that."
