Robin Williams’ horrible drug addiction revealed nine years after his death
Robin Williams heavily dependent on drugs back in the day, as per source
Robin Williams was heavily dependent on drugs, according to a source who speaks about late actor’s scary addiction nine years after his passing away.
“Robin needed to be ‘on’ all the time. He didn’t think he’d be any good without drugs,” an insider told Star.
A source claimed, “It wasn’t true, but that’s what Robin believed.”
In 1988 interview, Robin confessed about his struggle with substance abuse issues as he allegedly overused cocaine and alcohol.
“I was crazy back then — working all day, partying all night,” said the late actor at the time.
Robin’s friend Mike Binder also shared his concerns for the actor’s drug habits.
“It was like, 8:15 p.m. at night. I was like, ‘Robin, you did the whole gram?’ He was like, ‘It was an accident, I’m sorry.’ With drugs, he was a monster,” remarked Robin’s pal.
Moreover, the director of Mork & Mindy Howard Storm opened up to Robin’s 2018 biography author that the comedian would also come under the influence of drugs on his set at the time.
“He hadn’t slept all night. He was snorting coke, and if you snort coke, in order to come down you drink booze. He was out all night and screwing everybody in town,” explained Howard.
The source mentioned that Robin got sober when friend John Belushi died from an overdose in 1982.
Robin did try his best to stay clean, however, he did have a relapse in 2006, which he blamed on “fearfulness and anxiety” whereas in 2014, he entered rehab again.
“He was sober, but his problems didn’t ever really go away,” asserted a source
