Queen Camilla took notes from Kate Middleton's former style for her latest appearance at Ascot.
The Queen Consort stepped out in a forest green coat dress paired with a matching-colored hat for QIPCO British Champions Day on Saturday, Oct. 21.
The dress, adorned with a silk v-neckline and an event-inspired brooch was reminiscent of Princess Kate's Lara Green coat-dress of the same color, which she wore at the annual St Patrick's Day parade in March last year.
Though, Camilla did swap Kate's stiletto heels with black suede-heeled boots, owing to October's chilly weather.
It comes after it was reported that Prince William is “jealous“ of his wife's popularity, prompting her to switch from regal dresses to corporate suits to attend to public engagements.
According to Marca.com, the Princess of Wales “changed her image to now wear very simple suits and blouses” to appease to her husband Prince William’s supposed “jealousy.”
Noting that the mom of three is “not used to” such uptight clothes, the publication referenced now-King Charles jealousy toward the late Princess Diana over her unbridled popularity during her lifetime.
