Prince Harry shifts focus to ‘charity’ in a bid to redeem popularity

Prince Harry is heading back to his roots after he received several blows alongside wife Meghan Markle from Hollywood bigwigs.

Following the cancellation of their Spotify deal in mid-June, the Sussexes had several business fail and got a snub by Emmy, as they scored no nominations despite having a most-streamed docuseries on Netflix.

Previously, entertainment expert and founder of MarkMeets, Mark Boardman told Newsweek that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should focus on “the broader impact of their work rather than relying solely on awards recognition which would have improved the perceived success as media personalities.”

It seems that Harry may have taken that advise as he is now focused on his charity work, which is what he was known for during his years as the working royal.

The Duke of Sussex is currently in Tokyo Japan to attend the ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) Sports Values Summit—Special Edition, which he had founded.

“I’ve been involved in many charities for most of my life, and I get a huge amount of fulfilment giving back to as many people as possible,” Harry told the audiences. “My life is charity—always has been, always will be.”

Harry’s popularity had taken a dramatic hit since he stepped down as the senior working royal in 2020 with Meghan. He was criticised mostly after his memoir Spare hit the shelves in January, fuelling his royal rift with the family.

The royal was also accused of ‘whining’ about his problems, but it seems that he is looking to make changes to his persona once again.
