Ethan Slater’s wife Lili Jay ‘devastated’ as he ‘abandoned’ family for Ariana Grande
Ethan Slater's wife Lili Jay is 'devastated' her son won't have both parents around as he grows up
Ethan Slater, famous for his portrayal in the Broadway show SpongeBob SquarePants, has allegedly left his wife, Lili Jay, “devastated” by his Ariana Grande.
Sources close to Jay have revealed that she was caught off guard and learned about the new relationship just before it became public knowledge. The couple had a son in August 2022, and Jay is reportedly feeling as though Slater has "abandoned" their family.
“Ethan sat Lilly down a few days before the news broke about him and Ariana and said that he wanted a divorce,” a source told Us Weekly. “Lilly never saw it coming!”
Jay is also said to be upset that their son won't have both parents around him constantly and feels like Slater has "completely turned his back on his family.
To make matters worse, Jay feels "betrayed" because Grande had previously spent time with herself and Slater when they were still married.
However, another source claims that Grande and Slater are trying to be respectful of their exes as they pursue their new relationship.
It's not clear when the couple began dating, but sources say it was "several months ago."
Another insider close to the Side to Side singer said Grande and Slater “were separated when they started dating and the relationship is recent.”
The source also revealed that the new couple did not shy away from PDA on the set of their upcoming movie Wicked.
“Ariana and Ethan weren’t careful. They’d hold hands on set in between takes. They were sloppy and not hiding it.”
