Tom Cruise revealed he has booked his seats to watch most anticipated film Oppenheimer and Barbie that too during their opening weekend.

The Top Gun star, who is gearing up for the worldwide release of his own blockbuster movie Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, said he will watch the Cillian Murphy starrer first.

Even though some reports were suggesting that the superstar was insecure about the release of Christopher Nolan’s film as it might steal attention of his own movie, Cruise debunked all such rumours, saying he will go watch Oppenheimer and Barbie the opening weekend.

During the Australian premiere of his action-thriller, Cruise told The Sydney Morning Herald, "I want to see both Barbie and Oppenheimer."

"I’ll see them opening weekend. Friday I’ll see Oppenheimer first and then Barbie on Saturday," the hunk added of the movies, both slated to be released on July 21st.

"I grew up seeing movies on the big screen. That’s how I make them, and I like that experience," the actor added of his love for cinema.

"It's immersive, and to have that as a community and an industry, it’s important,” Cruise said. “I still go the movies.”

During promotions of the seventh installment of his megahit film, Cruise took to Twitter to shower support on his fellow filmmakers and actors on their upcoming movies including the atomic-bomb biographical thriller, the live-action Barbie movie and Harrison Ford’s

“This summer is full of amazing movies to see in theaters,” Cruise tweeted with photos of himself and Mission: Impossible 7 director Christopher McQuarrie as they posed in front of each of the films' posters.
