Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are under the impression that their current streak in business fails has been all due to bad luck.
According to royal expert, Daniela Elser, the Sussexes are not taking any responsibility for their failing businesses as they present themselves as ‘global do-gooders.’
Quoting Columnist Alison Boshoff, Elser pointed out how the Sussexes “are convinced their downfall was nothing to do with them” and that Boshoff has been told they “both feel they have been ‘repeatedly unlucky’ with other world events.”
In her comment piece for News.com.au, Elser agreed with Boshoff.
“What is so remarkable here is that, if what Boshoff reports is correct, Harry and Meghan still cannot accept their culpability for their own lives and how they turn out.”
She questioned, “When will they actually metabolise and accept the fact they are not wholly blameless in the various messes that seem to follow them?”
As of recently, Harry and Meghan lost out on their Spotify deal after just one season of Markle’s podcast, Archetypes.
According to a source cited by Variety, Spotify had been expecting more content from Archewell Audio. Nearly three years after signing the contract, only one series has been released.
Sources close to Spotify also said the royal couple did not meet the productivity benchmark required to receive the full headline payout from the deal, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Moreover, according to reports Netflix is unlikely to renew its deal with the Sussexes which was worth a reported $150 million, of which they have only been paid half of that amount so far.
