The Weeknd gets emotional as his famous show 'The Idol' comes to an end
'The Idol' also features Lily-Rose Depp in a key role
The Weeknd has penned emotional note on the finale of his famous show, The Idol.
Taking it to his Instagram, The Weeknd who goes by the name Abel Tesfaye in the acting line, shared a bunch of pictures with the cast and crew of the Idol’s behind the-scenes and expressed his gratitude in a note.
The Blinding Lights singer wrote: “The finale. Grateful to share this moment with you all as the season comes to an end. Continue to push the vision no matter how bumpy the journey."
Besides Abel, the show also starred Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp in a key role. The show generated a lot of controversy due to its provocative plot line and explicit scenes.
To speak for his part, The Weeknd told Variety that he had already expected criticism and was not at all bothered to welcome it, reported Entertainment Tonight.
"It's almost educational, that this is what comes with being incredibly famous. You're surrounded by people who you're not sure what their true intentions are, even if it seems like they're good.”
“You just never know. But of course, I've been very fortunate to have people around me that I've known almost my entire life, which is important, and is a gift."
