Robert Irwin and his girlfriend Rorie Buckey were coordinated in all-black ensembles as they made their red carpet debut as a couple.
The son of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin and the niece of late actor Heath Ledger were smitten with each other as they made their way at the premiere of Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One in Sydney, Australia.
The wildlife photographer looked handsome in an all-black suit which he coordinated with the college student’s one-shoulder dress.
The pair did not shy away from showing affection towards each other as they looked each other lovingly. For one of the poses, Irwin, 19, held Buckey, also 19, around her waist as they posed for photographers at the event.
The young couple have been romantically linked since late last year. The two were first photographed together on a beach in Queensland in November. In December, on his birthday, the two were photographed sitting with his mother Terri Irwin at their family’s Australia Zoo.
Following the appearance at the zoo, Buckey’s dad, Nathan, told Daily Mail Australia that he “absolutely” approved of their relationship.
Since Steve tragically died in 2006 at age 44 after a stingray barb pierced his chest, his wife, Terri, and their two children, Robert and Bindi Irwin, have continued his legacy.
Robert’s bond with his father reflected when he got emotional when he received a special message for his birthday in December from his late dad during a video montage that played in front of a crowd at his family’s zoo.
