Britain’s King Charles has returned to the Royal Yacht Britannia after he arrived in Scotland on Monday.
According to palace, King Charles was welcomed into the city of Edinburgh as Holyrood week begins.
At the traditional Ceremony of the Keys, the King is welcomed into the city, 'your ancient and hereditary kingdom of Scotland' by the Lord Provost, who offers him the keys of the city.
Later, he visited the royal yacht.
The palace shared King Charles photos and video from the visit on its official social media handles.
The post reads: “From the Engine Room, to Laundry, to the Dining Room… The King has returned to the Royal Yacht Britannia.”
Launched in 1953, the Royal Yacht proudly served the nation for 44 years, undertaking nearly 1000 State Visits to 135 countries and sailing over 1 million nautical miles.
Following its decommission in 1997, the Royal Yacht Britannia has welcomed over 6.5 million visitors.
Royal Yacht Britannia is also dubbed as Queen Elizabeth’s former floating palace.
