Gordon Ramsay’s cooking show has been cancelled by the BBC after only two seasons, according to reports. The show Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars has reportedly been axed due to low ratings claims TV Zone.
However, some sources say that no official decision has been made yet about the series, of which the second season just finished airing on BBC1. None of the episodes managed to cross 200 million views, and one of the contestants on the show also faced significant backlash.
It seems the blows keep coming for the chef, as another one of his shows Next Level Chef on ITV was cancelled after running for just one season and not bringing in good viewership.
Future Food Stars followed Gordon as he went off in search of the next cooking superstar who could combine entrepreneurial skills with the food market. In each season, twelve contestants would go head to head with each other to become his next superstar.
Not long ago, one of the contestants faced criticism for “discrimination” after he made an inappropriate comment about another contestant’s makeup.
“I just want to put Kier on the candyfloss. I think myself and Amy might be a bit more digestible to the public, especially with our target market. Keir and his eyeliner behind a pink stand might not make the most sense.”
