'Yellowjackets' actress Melanie Lynskey remembers late co-star Julian Sands
Lynskey concluded her message by sending condolences to Sands' family
'Yellowjackets' actress Melanie Lynskey recently paid tribute to late co-star Julian Sands, whom she worked alongside on Stephen King’s miniseries Rose Red.
The actor was confirmed dead five months after having gone missing during a trek. On Wednesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced that the Coroner's Office had identified the human remains found on Southern California's Mount as 65-year-old Sands.
Remembering her friend and co-star Lynskey reminisced about working with Sands as well as watching him on ‘A Room With A View’.
"Julian Sands. I met you on the set of Rose Red in 2000. A Room With A View was a movie I had seen dozens of times, and I adored you in it. I was so nervous I could barely speak to you. When I did finally tell you what the movie/you meant to me, I was struck by your humility, your lack of ego, the absence of any grandstanding," she wrote.
In the heartfelt tribute Lynskey expressed that Sands made a significant impact on her life. She fondly recalled their bond, including moments of shared experiences, such as attending the opera and exchanging music preferences. Lynskey concluded her message by sending condolences to Sands' family and expressing her gratitude for his kindness.
