Jennifer Lawrence has recently addressed raunchy comedy in her new movie, No Hard Feelings.
“I think it’s time for a good old-fashioned laugh and it really is hard to make a comedy where you’re not offending people,” said the Hunger Games actress in an interview with Sky News.
The Oscar winner continued, “Everybody in some sense will be offended by this movie — you’re welcome.”
Lawrence’s movie is rated R in the United States and 15 in the United Kingdom due to its storyline.
Elaborating on the movie’s content, Lawrence stated, “Something we learned from the old-time comedies is mean comedy is not really funny … making somebody feel bad about themselves – other than me making fun of me.”
“But the way that we did it is fine, we figured it out,” she added.
No Hard Feelings is directed by Gene Stupnitsky and also co-written a script along with John Phillips.
It is pertinent to mention that Stupnitsky is known for his movies like Good Boys, Bad Teacher and Year One.
Meanwhile, No Hard Feelings will release in UK theatres on June 21 while in the US on June 23.
