Indus Motor recruits 45 students

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) organised Career Days for graduating students of the Toyota Technical Educational Program (T-TEP) in Karachi and Lahore, at St Patrick’s Institute of Science & Technology and at Government College of Technology respectively. A total of 45 students were recruited for employment in Indus Motor Company, the nationwide Toyota dealership and network and vendors.

Prof Dr Khalid Ahmed Khan, Chairman, Sindh Board of Technical Education was the chief guest at the ceremony in Karachi, whereas Lt Gen (R) M Akram Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology did the honour in Lahore.

Chief Guest said that T-TEP had worked to bridge the gap between industry and technical education. They were glad to see that the program served the community and worked beyond commercial consideration. To date several hundred T-TEP students have graduated and found jobs in Pakistan.

Parvez Ghias, CEO, IMC, appreciated the role of both institutions in collaboration with IMC, adding IMC has initiated T-TEP in Pakistan based on our support of Toyota’s two pillars. Respect for People and Kaizen (Continuous Improvement).
