HYDERABAD: Scores of activists and students of different religious seminaries of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday against the killing of Maulana Hassan Jan in Peshawar.
Chanting slogans against the killing, protestors demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the killing of religious scholar and termed it a conspiracy to create law and order situation in the country.
MMA district president Abdul Wahid Qureshi, JUI leaders Taj Mohammed Nahion, Haji Gul Ahmed and others led the protest demonstration and spoke to the protestors.
They condemned the killing of JUI central leader Maulana Hassan Jan and termed the killing of Maulana an international conspiracy to shatter the peace in the country.
The leaders also appealed to activists and followers of JUI to remain peaceful and avoid becoming part of the conspiracy against the country and Islam and wait for the directives of the JUI leadership. Quran Khawani was also offered in various seminaries of the district.a
