ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday notified names of two National Assembly and seven provincial assemblies’ returned candidates on women’s reserved seats.
PML-N’s Tehmina Daultana had won from two NA seats - she bagged one in directly-contested general elections and the other on reserved seats from Punjab as per the party’s priority list of candidates.
In her place, another party candidate Qudsia Arshad has returned, whereas on the seat from Sindh, vacated by MQM’s MNA-elect Khushbakht Shujaat, Dr Naheed Shahid Ali has been notified as a returned candidate.
Similarly, Aisha Khoso and Shamim Ara Panhwar have replaced Dr Mahreen Razaque Bhutto and Shagufta Jumani of PPPP from Sindh in the provincial assembly, the EC notification said.PML-N’s Shagufta Shiekh, Rehana Ejaz, Nighat Nasir, Rahat Ajmal and Rehana Hadees have returned to Punjab Assembly in place of Tahira Aurangzeb, Nighat Parveen, Khalida Mansoor, Shahnaz Saleem, Parveen Masood and Masood Bhatti.
