Bhanbhore made sixth division of Sindh

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to constitute the sixth administrative division of the province with the name of Bhanbhore, comprising the districts of Badin, Thatta and Sujawal. Earlier, there were five existing administrative divisions in the province i.e. Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Karachi.
Former Sindh Local Government Minister and MPA from Thatta Owais Muzaffar told newsmen on Thursday that the formal notification for constitution of new administrative division in the province Bhanbhore would be issued on Friday. Makli would likely be the headquarters of the new division.
Earlier, major parts of the new administrative division were included in the Hyderabad Division. Owais Muzaffar said the basic aim of the formation of the sixth administrative division of the province was to promote development activities for natives and fisheries sectors of coastal areas of Badin, Thatta, and Sujawal, which had been ignored by the past governments. He said the PPP would bring out rallies in Thatta and Sujawal areas soon in order to formally celebrate their formation of the new administrative division.The Sindh government in October, 2013 had bifurcated the Thatta district to establish Sujawal as the 28th district of the province.
