Pakistan’s largest media group, production house become partners

KARACHI: Following global trends Pakistan’s media industry has also come of age. High profile media mergers though common abroad were seldom heard of in Pakistan where large media houses have traditionally been conservative and are privately held companies and conglomerates.
In what may easily be termed as the largest such merger ever in the fast growing entertainment and media industry in Pakistan, Geo’s entertainment TV channels, A & B Productions, GEO Films and Fire Records have all combined under Geo Entertainment Media Holdings — thus creating a media entertainment power house.
A and B Productions is Pakistan’s largest production house, producing and claiming more net ratings and GRPs than any production house in the country. A and B Productions, now Geo A & B Productions will continue to supply content to all broadcasters and help entertain millions of Pakistanis across the world.

Babar Javed is the Managing Director of Geo A and B Productions, and is also the Chief Creative Officer of Geo Holdings.
