Sethi selects five-member Punjab cabinet

LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi has announced a five-member Punjab Cabinet which includes Tariq Pervaiz, Eric Massey, Shams Mahmood Mirza, Arif Ejaz and Saleema Hashmi. The oath-taking ceremony will be held today (Monday) at 11 am at the Governor’s House. Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood will administer the oath.
The chief minister will hold portfolios of finance, education, S&GAD, communication & works, revenue and excise. Saleema Hashmi, daughter of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and also an acclaimed cultural writer and artist will serve as minister for women affairs, culture, youth, tourism. Eric Massey will hold portfolios of health, agriculture, irrigation, livestock and food. Shams Mehmood Mirza will be the minister for law and parliamentary affairs whereas Arif Ejaz will serve as minister for planning and development, commerce, investment and population while Tariq Pervaiz will be the home minister.
