ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari along with Deputy Chairman Sabir Ali Baloch Monday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The president felicitated the newly elected Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate for their unopposed election earlier in the day. He expressed the hope that they will work towards further strengthening the parliament.
Newly elected senators of Pakistan Peoples Party from Punjab and Sindh also called on the party’s Co- Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari. The senators included Aitzaz Ahsan, Zaheer-ud-Din Babar Awan, Kahlida Parveen, Osman Saifullah Khan, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Mian Raza Rabbani, Mukhtiar Ahmed Dhamrah, Saeed Ghani, Hari Ram, Sehr Kamran and Karim Ahmed Khawaja.
