KARACHI: Pakistan’s Moizullah Baig failed to take his first day form, where he led the table only to end up third, in the second and last day of the inaugural Mind Sports International Scrabble Championship. According to information made available here from London, Singapore’s Poh Ying Ming shattered Moiz’s dream of winning another youth championship. Moiz is a former world youth champion. Moiz remained unbeaten in his first ten matches but his winning streak was broken by former teammate Sumbul Siddiqui, who now plays for England. As it happened, the last match of the day was held between Moiz and Poh, who were both on 11 wins each. After a tough battle, Poh won the extremely close match 380-379 score to take the top position. The loss forced Moiz to fall below England’s Jack Durand who defeated compatriot Natasha Prastesi to take second position.
