Vice Admiral Khan Hasham appointed Vice Naval Chief

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday appointed Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff.
Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique was commissioned in the Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1980. He undertook initial training at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, UK, said a press release issued by the Naval Headquarters here.
On commissioning, the officer won the coveted Sword of Honour from the Pakistan Naval Academy. He got his early education from the prestigious PAF College Sargodha and FSc from Cadet College, Petaro. During his distinguished career, the admiral attained vast experience of both command and staff appointments.
His command appointments included the command of a Destroyer, Commandant of Pakistan Naval Academy, Commandant of Pakistan Navy War College, Commandant of National Security College at the National Defence University, Commander of Pakistan Fleet and Command of the Multi National Combined Task Force 150 at HQ NAVCENT Bahrain.
His key staff appointments included Chief Staff Officer toCommander Pakistan Fleet, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Plans), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Admin), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Projects).
Prior to his appointment as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, the Admiral was serving as Chief of Staff at the Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.The Vice Admiral is a graduate of the Joint Services Staff College and the National Defence University Islamabad. He holds a master’s degree in Operations Research from the United States and Joint Warfare and War Studies from the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He also has an M Phil degree in Public Policy and Strategic Security Management.In recognition of his meritorious services, the Admiral has been awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
