Islamabad: Pakistan Post has issued a commemorative postage stamp to pay tribute to renowned sufi saint Pir Meher Ali Shah.The commemorative postage stamp along with a special post mark and first day cover of the issue will be available from July 30 for public consumption and philatelists at all general post office in the country, said a press release. The size of the stamp 44.6x32.3 mm, depicts the picture of the Pir Meher Ali Shah (Sufi Saint Series). The stamp has issued of Rs8 denomination.Pir Meher Ali Shah was born on April 14, 1859 in Golra Sharif. He was renowned sufi saint, a great religious scholar. He wrote several books, most notably Saif-e-Chishtiyai, (The sword of the Chishtis).
