LAHORE
The Lahore High Court on Wednesday disqualified PML-Q former MNA Khadim Hussain Wattoo for having bogus degree.
Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan issued the order which he had reserved earlier after hearing arguments from both sides.
The judge issued this order on a petition filed by Zahid Hussain, a citizen, who contended that Khadim Hussain Wattoo cheated election commission by submitting bogus degrees and adopting mal-practices in elections from 1985 to 2008 as he contested each election. He said in 2008 elections, Wattoo won elections from NA-188 Bahawalnagar on the basis of a fake BA degree.
