JAMSHORO: The mother and the brothers of a disappeared youth have appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and international organisations working for human rights to help in the release of the man.
Latifan, resident of village Haji Khan Laghari, Kachho Johi, district Dadu, along with her two sons told a joint news conference that six months ago the daughter of influential landlord, Ferozan left her house of her own accord and approached her son for getting married but within one hour the father of girl, Ahmed Khan Laghari along with armed men managed to take back her daughter.
Later Ferozan’s father lodged a fabricated case of kidnapping with Drugh Balla police station in Kachha area against their nine men, including her son in Johi, Dadu district. Police then arrested five men, including the youth Amer Jan.
According to her later four arrested men out of five were released but still police have kept her son under detention at a secret location.
She said that few days ago a so-called Jirga was also convened at their village in the supervision of Ahmed Khan Laghari that “illegally” imposed a fine of Rs 500,000 and giving our one girl to them.
