Militants publicly execute two for adultery

BARA: A man and a boy who allegedly had an adulterous affair were publicly executed by the militants belonging to the proscribed Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) militant group in Malik Garhi area of Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency, official and local sources said.
The sources said that one Ihsan hailing from Quetta was machine operator in a local loom factory and had allegedly molested a boy from the nearby area. The boy was unidentified.
The sources said that Ihsan while having sex with the boy made a video of the act with his cellphone camera and circulated it among his friends. The images reportedly reached into the hands of militants.
According to the sources, a group of militants seized the man and the boy in Malik Garhi on Friday and shifted them to an unidentified location where they were physically tortured and investigated. The militants brought the accused to Malik Garhi around noon on Saturday where in presence of a crowd they pushed them down from the banks of River Bara.
Subsequently the militants went down and shot dead the accused. Ihsan and the boy were already seriously injured after falling from the 10 meters high bank of the river.
Talking to this scribe, an officer of the local political administration confirmed the death of two persons at the hands of the militants. He said it was a case of rape involving a man from Quetta and a local boy. The family members of the boy rejected the allegations and said that it was a case of kidnapping for ransom and when the militant group was not paid the amount in time they killed the captives. Talking to The News, Lashkar-e-Islam Commander Sabeel Khan said that any one found involved in illicit relations would be dealt with in the same way. “Ameer Mangal Bagh has zero tolerance for immoral sexual acts,” Sabeel Khan stressed.
