Karachi The naval chief conferred military awards on Pakistan Navy officers and men in an investiture at the Bahria Auditroium on Thursday. These awards were announced by the government of Pakistan in recognition of meritorious service, acts of gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty of recipients in their respective fields. The recipients of Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) are Vice Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, Vice Admiral Tanveer Faiz, Vice Admiral Abbas Raza and Vice Admiral Tayyab Ali Dogar. Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to Commodore Abdul Aleem, Commodore Mukhtar Khan, Commodore Ather Mukhtar, Commodore Muhammad Aslam, Commodore Shahid Azmat Wain, Commodore Zaffar Mehmood, Commodore Muhammad Ihsan Qadir, Commodore Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani, Commodore Zafar Mansoor, Commodore Moazzam Ilyas, Commodore Iqbal Javaid, Commodore Khalid Pervez, Commodore Muhammad Hisham, and Commodore Muhammad Amjad. Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to Captain Muhammad Sarfaraz Khan, Captain Dr Muhammad Junaid, Commander Syed Asad Hussain, Commander Muhammad Arif, Commander Nadeem Tahir, Commander Farrukh Nadeem, Commander Dr Muhammad Saeed Khalid, Commander Noaman Imam, Commander Mujtaba Saeed, Commander Muhammad Shahzad Yussouf, Commander Mazhar Mahmood Malik, Commander Imran Raza, Commander Ijaz Ahmed, Lt Cdr Muhammad Nadeem Atif, Lt Cdr Liaquat Ullah Khan, Lt Cdr Shahid Aslam Mirza, Lt Cdr Muhammad Ashraf, Lt Cdr Asif Maqsood, Lt Cdr Shamsul Haque and Lt Cdr Qaiser Iqbal. Tamgha-e-Basalat was awarded to Commander Faisal Shabbir, Lt Cdr Zulfiquar Ali Khan, Lt Muhammad Noman Aslam, Aman Ullah CDA-IV and Tahir Mehmood LPM. In addition, 18 Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-I was awarded to PN sailors. Mahmood Ahmed was declared the best sailor of the year 2010.
