Islamabad President Asif Ali Zardari decorated 123 recipients of National Awards (Civil), including 9 foreign nationals, at the Investiture Ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Wednesday. The president had approved 207 Pakistan Civil Awards on August 14, 2010 with 36 approved as a special case after August 14. The Punjab governor, on behalf of the president, decorated 48 recipients of National Awards (Civil), at the Investiture Ceremony held at the Governor’s House, Lahore. Twenty-two recipients of National Awards (Civil) were decorated by the Sindh governor, on behalf of the president, at the Investiture Ceremony being in the Governor’s House, Karachi. Eight recipients of National Awards (Civil) were decorated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governor, on behalf of the President, at the Investiture Ceremony held in the Governor’s House, Peshawar. Four recipients of the National Awards (Civil) will be decorated by the Balochistan governor, on behalf of the president, at the Investiture Ceremony held in the Governor’s House, Quetta. One of the recipients of National Awards (Civil) was decorated by the Gilgit-Baltistan governor, on behalf of the president, at the Investiture Ceremony held in the Governor’s House, Gilgit. The chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee will decorate 16 recipients of National Awards (Civil), on behalf of the president, at the Investiture Ceremony to be held later at the Joint Staff Headquarters. One recipient of National Awards (Civil) will be decorated by the chief of the army staff, on behalf of the president, at the investiture ceremony being held in the GHQ after March 23. Seventeen foreign nationals, including two Pakistani expatriates, will be decorated on behalf of the president, by the Heads of Pakistan Missions located in the countries of respected recipients of awards.
