‘Sana used foul language against Nawaz family women’

December 13, 2010
LAHORE: Governor Salmaan Taseer, giving vent to his anger against Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for the first time in public, stated that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif must be congratulated for pardoning a person who had used objectionable remarks against women of his family.
Talking to the media after a prize distribution ceremony at the Lahore Gymkhana Club on Sunday, he said Rana Sanaullah had used obscene language against the women of the Sharif family in 1992 when he was an MPA and Nawaz Sharif was the prime minister. He said an FIR was also registered against Sana with Chiniot Police Station on 23/11/1992 with number 2396.
He said Sana had also used filthy language against the Pakistan Army after which his eyebrows, moustaches and head were also shaved off. He said the Punjab government was functioning on a stay order and there were 10 major cases against the Sharif brothers, adding that those who had violated the Constitution in the past were now claiming to be the champions of democracy.
He said all the projects had failed miserably in the Punjab. To a question about the reports of his mysterious absence from the province, he said he did not go anywhere and asked the critics to keep finding him in Dubai, Colombo or anywhere else. He said whenever the Punjab government found no answer for its miserable failures, it started indulging people in non-issues like the absence of the governor or something else but it should realise now that “I would stay as the governor of Punjab”.
