Fire Records, in collaboration with Telenor Talkshawk, have launched the debut album of Amanat Ali, the runner-up crooner of famous Indian music competition SaReGaMaPa, as part of their efforts to promote artistes in their formative phase.
Addressing a joint press conference at the launch ceremony on Thursday, the young singer was all praise for senior composers and singers who collaborated and gave valuable input to his first Urdu album, Kohram.
“Faith, my trust in the God-gifted talent of singing and prayers from my millions of fans throughout Pakistan and abroad keep me going,” Ali said. “It is very encouraging to see corporate organisations supporting the young talent of Pakistan.”
Ali said he had already been exposed to a professional working environment in India and learnt a lot from his early showbiz exposure. “This provided me with a perfect opportunity to work with some great people in India and later in Pakistan. The result is my first album,” he said.
Corporate Communications Manager Affan Haider said Ali had brought a fresh voice to the world of music, coupled with unique vitality. Fire Records Chief Operating Officer Dr Akbar Yezdani said his company knew of Ali’s genuine singing talent, which eventually impressed audiences and professionals alike. Dr Yezdani said the album was a blend of upbeat tracks such as Kohram and Rab Janay, and semi-classical tracks such as Thumri, which “establish Ali as an accomplished and trained singer.”
