Major reshuffle in Sindh administration begins

A major reshuffle in the Sindh administration began on Monday. More than 50 officers, including DIG (Investigation) Manzoor Mughal, Member, Land Utilisation (LU), Board of Revenue, and the DCO of the chief minister’s home town, Khairpur, have been transferred with immediate effect.

The officers have been directed to report to the Services and General Administration (S&GD) and their parent departments. The transfer orders were issued on Monday - the very first day the new cabinet ministers took charge of their offices.

According to an official notification, DIG (Investigation), Manzoor Mughal, who was holding this office since last many years, has been transferred and directed to report to S&GD. Police officer Ghulam Qadir Thebo, who was awaiting posting, replaced Mughal as DIG (Investigation). The Sindh government acquired his service from Balochistan for posting in Sindh. Mughal was retired a few years ago, but he was appointed on contract to continue on the post.

Another important officer, Shoib Siddiqi, member, LU, BoR, was also transferred and directed to report to (S&GD). Muhammad Siddiq Memon, Secretary, Livestock and Fisheries, replaced Siddiqui. Memon was the Secretary to the Chief Minister, Syed Abdullah Shah, in 1994, and in 1998 with Syed Ghous Ali Shah.

The DCO Khairpur, Allah Dino Sher (Grade-19), was transferred and Iqbal Memon, Programme Director Basic Urban Services Project Local Government was posted in his place. The DCO, Tando Allahyar, M Farooq Leghari, was also transferred and Programme Manager, Reform Support Unit Education, Pervez Ahmed Sehar, was posted as DCO in Leghari’s place.

The Chief Inspector, Mines, who had additional charge as DG, Mines, Khalid Mirza, was transferred and directed to report to the department concerned while Director Admin, Zakir Ali, was also transferred and posted as EDO, Finance and Planning, Mirpurkhas, in place of M. Ismail Langa, who was posted as EDO, Works and Services, Shikarpur, in place of Jinsar Ali Shah.

The EDO, Works and Services, Shikarpur, was posted in place of Liaquat Ali who was directed to report to S&GD. EDO, Education Academic and Training, Hyderabad, M. Ramzan Parehar was posted as EDO, Education, Tando Allahyar, in place of Ghulam Nabi Baluch, who was directed to report to the department concerned.

MS Talukha Hospital, Naushero Feroze, Dr MunawarAli Shah, was transferred and posted as EDO, Health, Jamshoro, in place of Dr Bhon Das. The Director, Inquiries 111 Anti-Corruption Establishment, Niaz Ali Abbasi, was transferred and posted as Director, Anti-Corruption Establishment, Sindh, while Riaz Ahmed, awaiting posting, was posted as Director, Inquiries 111 Anti-Corruption Establishment. The RMO, Liaquat Medical University Hospital, Hyderabad, Dr Manzoor Hussain Memon, was transferred and posted as MS, Liaquat Medical University, Hyderabad, in place of Dr Waseem Shaikh who was directed to report to the Health Department.

Dr Razia Shaikh was posted in place of Dr Ghazala Perven as Chief Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Karachi, while Shamsun Nisa Ansari will continue to work as Director, Sindh Medical Faculty. Deputy-Director, Extension Programme Immunization Health, Dr Mazhar Ali Khamisani, was posted as Project Director of the same programme in place of Dr Salma Kusar who was transferred and posted in the Local Government Department. Syada Firasat Sultan Shah was posted as EDO, Elementary, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Farooq Ahmed Siddiqi, District Support Manager, Naushero Feroze, was transferred and posted as Deputy-Secretary, Chief Minister’s House.
