Imran Khan’s father passes away

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan's father Ikram Ullah Khan Niazi died after protracted illness here on Wednesday. The deceased was 88 years old and had been under treatment in the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, where he breathed his last. His body was shifted to Imran Khan's residence in Zaman Park at 7 pm on Wednesday.

The deceased is survived by a son and four daughters. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be held at Zaman Park at 9:30 am on Thursday (today). Afterwards, the body will be taken to Mianwali where he will be buried in his ancestral graveyard.

Talking to media at his residence, Imran Khan stated that his father, Ikram Ullah Khan, died of pneumonia.

Quran Khawani for the deceased will be held at Zaman Park on Saturday at 5:30 pm. The deceased, Ikram Ullah Khan, was born in Mianwali on April 24, 1922. He was the elder son of Dr Azeem Ahmed Khan.
