It seems like it’s the season of break-ups in Bollywood. After the much-talked about split between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, the latest couple to hit the break-up list is Farhan Akhtar who is splitting from his celebrity-stylist wife, Adhuna.
The couple has released a joint statement confirming their split. “This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.”
According to reports, Farhan who is currently in theatres with his new film Wazir, has moved out of his Bandra house and is crashing at sister Zoya Akhtar’s house. Adhuna and Farhan dated for three years before getting married in 2000 and have two daughters.
On a side note, Farhan is also gearing up to pursue a career in music. The actor-writer-director-producer who is shooting for Rock On 2 is penning lyrics for his own music. “I am writing lyrics, not for any film but for myself. When I finish Rock On 2, I will take two to three months off and complete my songs. I don’t know if it will be an album, you don’t need to release an album these days… It can be a single or three-four songs,” concluded Farhan.
