Dilwale may not have a serious plot worth investing your time in but the film’s single greatest and perhaps only strength is its lead pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and their undeniable chemistry. Think of the song ‘Gerua’ which was shot in Iceland and plays up the sizzling romance between two stars whose collective power as actors is unparalleled.
Of course, one major pull for the film is Kajol, who made a comeback to the big screen after years. When Dilwale released last year, it seems that cinema buffs realized just how much they had missed the dusky beauty’s throaty laugh and charming screen presence. Perhaps Kajol also felt the same and has hence already announced another upcoming project she will star in.
The untitled film will see her paired with real-life husband Ajay Devgn and will be produced under their home banner, Ajay Devgn Films. The film is set to hit the floor in June and while the script is finalized, there’s a lot that’s undecided. The project is currently bereft of a leader at the helm with a search for the director underway. Kajol is reported to have said that the couple will soon be making all the requisite announcements once details have been finalized. She said they will shortly reveal the film’s title, genre and her character details. While there’s not much information about the film to go on, we’re still excited to know there’s more Kajol coming our way. Here’s to the siren’s silver screen return.
