The governor congratulated the CM on presenting a people-friendly budget. According to a handout, CM Buzdar and Governor Ch Sarwar said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would easily succeed in getting the federal and the Punjab budgets passed in the assemblies, adding that the opposition would continue the war of words against the “people-friendly budget”.

The CM said a new era of development and prosperity had begun in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that electronic voting was the only option to make the next elections transparent, but the opposition’s unsupportive attitude was disappointing.

Ch Sarwar said the Punjab government had given relief to the public including labourers, and salaried class in the budget. He said a separate development package for each district was a great initiative of the Punjab government, adding that serving people was the government’s topmost priority, and the opposition must give priority to national interest over political interests.

The governor told the CM about the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority projects in the constituencies of National and provincial assemblies across Punjab. The chief minister promised extending full cooperation for providing clean drinking water to people and appreciated the steps taken by the governor for the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority.

Usman Buzdar said the conspiratorial politics of the opposition had come to an end. He said: "We have always confronted the negative politics of the opposition with public service and no obstacle would be tolerated in providing relief to the public."
