Ultra-popular K-pop band BTS has a global influence, and that star power is now being recognized by Time magazine. BTS was named Time’s Entertainer of the Year for 2020.
The band is so influential that South Korean lawmakers passed the so-called “BTS Bill” earlier this month, which will likely give major pop stars the ability to postpone their mandatory national military service. Under the law, deferment waivers for military service would be granted to pop musicians who have won awards. BTS has won their fair share of awards. They have been nominated for seven American Music Awards, all of which they’ve won; four Billboard Music awards, which they also won; and they are nominated for a Grammy Award.
In addition to their accolades, the members of BTS — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook —saw huge financial success, each becoming multimillionaires this year after a chart-topping initial public offering by their label, Big Hit Entertainment.
Chris Evans takes over Buzz Lightyear from Tim Allen
Pixar is letting us rewind so that we can stay kids and keep playing with our favourite toys! A Toy Story prequel is in the works, but this time it is going to be based around our favourite space ranger, Buzz Lightyear!
The interesting thing here is that Buzz Lightyear is not going to sound the way we are used to him sounding. Tim Allen, the original Buzz Lightyear will not be in the Lightyear film, however, Chris Evans will be stepping in his place to take us to infinity and beyond!
Many Disney and Marvel fans likely know Evans as Captain America and a member of the Avengers team. It will be interesting to imagine Steve Rogers in the spacesuit especially considering how much love Pixar and Toy Story fans have for Tim Allen.
Taylor Swift has released the first music video from her surprise new album ‘Evermore’.
The 30-year-old singer announced the sister LP to ‘Folklore’ and released the record just 16 hours later, and shortly afterwards, she shared the promotional film for new single ‘Willow’, a track which follows-up the events laid out in ‘Cardigan’.
In the video, Taylor sits at her piano before being tempted inside the instrument with a glowing thread, stepping out of a willow tree and into a fantasy world, where she initially chases the promise of her true love - who is played by her ‘Red’ tour dancer Taeok Lee - before breaking out of a glass cage and onto her golden path again.
At the end of the clip, the blonde beauty climbs back out of her piano, where she is greeted by her true love and they leave a cottage hand-in-hand together.
the chorus, she sings: “The more that you say, the less I know/ Wherever you stray, I follow/ I’m begging for you to take my hand/ Wreck my plans, that’s my man.”
