The younger generation hoped the PTI would be different from the existing political parties. After the 2013 elections, they hoped that the PTI would concentrate on building ‘Naya Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ and, building on this momentum, nobody could prevent Imran Khan from building ‘Naya Pakistan’.
However, the party’s methods of governance included sit-ins, using money and preferring the status quo over genuine workers in the recently held NA-122 by-polls. The party’s core workers have been greatly disappointed. The fear is that the PTI is going to end up like the other political parties in the country.
