BAHAWALPUR: A man shot dead his wife for ‘honour’ in Mohalla Khawajgan, Uch Sharif on Tuesday. According to police, Muhammad Abbas and his accomplice Muhammad Kashif shot dead his wife Sumaira and tried to depict the killing as a result of a dacoity. The girl was married to Abbas 18 days ago. When police interrogated him, he told police that he killed her on suspicion of having illicit relationship with another youth of the locality. Uch Sharif police have arrested both the killers.
MAN DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT: A tractor-trolley driver died in a road accident in near Lal-Sohanra National Park, Hasilpur on Wednesday. Muhammad Rasheed and Muhammad Shoaib were moving on a tractor-trolley when a trailer hit them, leaving Rasheed dead on the spot and Shoiab wounded.
