Shaan Shahid defends Pakistan cricket team

After the Pakistan cricket team lost the match against West Indies - opening their ICC 2019 World Cup campaign - at Trent Bridge on Friday, the entire nation was left disappointed.

However, veteran actor and director Shaan Shahid came out in support of the Pakistan cricket team.

The actor, whose last outing, Arth – The Destination (2017) didn’t do too well at the box office, took to social media and penned down some words of encouragement for the ‘boys in green’.

“A nation stands by its heroes no matter what. When they rise they pick the whole nation. When they fall we must pick them up,” Shaan wrote on his official Twitter handle.

He further bucked up the entire team and said, “Play your game without pressure, as it is an arena where boys become men #ourboysingreen.”

On the work front, the actor is currently busy with his upcoming film, titled Zarrar. Besides helming the project and essaying the lead role, Shaan has also the written the action thriller.

Moreover, Shaan has roped in Timothy Hallam Wood from the United Kingdom as the director of photography for the film. Zarrar stars Kiran Malik of Pinky Memsaab fame and London-based Adnan Butt, who will mark his debut as an antagonist.
